Bayshore Park Picnic and Interpretive Trail

Project Description

Galveston County constructed a multi-purpose trail at Bayshore Spillway Park, as well as place picnic structures, benches, trash receptacles, and educational/interpretive kiosks along the trail. Concrete is the preferred material to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act, and complements the Galveston County Beach and Parks Department's Parks, Recreation, and Open Spaces Master Plan. The picnic shelters and benches provide excellent vantage points from which park users can enjoy the panoramic view of the ship channel.
