Boggy Nature Park Shoreline Protection Phase I

Project Description

This project is Phase 1 of a multi phase project to build shoreline protection at Boggy Nature Park. Phase 1 included data collection, coastal engineering analysis, and alternatives development and analysis. The Phase 1 study will result in the development of feasible alternatives for shoreline protection, feasibility level construction cost estimates, and recommendation of a preferred alternative. Under Phase 1, a coastal engineering analysis will be performed to develop an understanding of shoreline morphology, wave conditions, currents, tides, sediment transport, sediment budgets, and relative sea level rise. New topographic and bathymetric survey data will be collected under this phase. This information will be used in the development and analysis of shoreline protection alternatives.
