Delehide Cove Shoreline Protection and Marsh Restoration

Project Description

This project provided shoreline protection for approximately 570 acres of intertidal estuarine marsh and tidal flat habitat. An alternatives analysis was completed in CEPRA Cycle 1, with the final design phase continuing into Cycle 2. The proposed design is to construct 9,500 feet of geotextile tube as a protective breakwater and to create about 50 acres of intertidal marsh and seagrass to be protected by a smaller geotube.
