Packery Channel-Beach Nourishment

Project Description

This BUDM project was USACE-led on North Padre Island and involved placing approximately 600,000 cubic yards of sand dredged during construction of Packery Channel on approximately one mile of critically eroding beach in front of the seawall on North Padre Island. The BUDM part of the project is the last task and it should be completed in late summer or early fall 2005.
