    • TEA-approved Continuing Professional Education (CPE) hours
    • Expert-led training on topics related to Texas history, American history, geography, and cartography
    • Instructional materials and tools for incorporating GLO primary sources into the classroom
    • Networking opportunities with other educators

To inquire about current or future GLO professional development opportunities, or to discuss bringing your students to the GLO Archives, please contact archives@glo.texas.gov or (512) 463-5277.

    Upcoming Events

In summer 2025, the GLO Archives is offering a series of webinars on teaching with maps. Participants will learn how to build lesson plans and integrate historical and GIS maps in the GLO collections into classroom learning. All K-12 Texas, U.S., and Geography teachers are welcome to attend. Those new to teaching or new to teaching with maps will especially benefit.

More information, including registration details, will be available in spring 2025.
