City of San Antonio to Reissue RFQ for Alamo Plaza Historic District and Alamo Complex Joint Master Plan
The Texas General Land Office (GLO) and City of San Antonio have teamed up to direct a collaborative vision for the future of the Alamo Complex and the surrounding historic district. The City, in partnership with the GLO, is reissuing a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for eligible firms to develop a comprehensive master plan for the Alamo Plaza Historic District, including the State-owned Alamo Complex.
SAN ANTONIO — The City issued the original RFQ in December 2014 for a master plan of Alamo Plaza and the surrounding historic district, not including the State’s property. The original RFQ was a culmination of the Alamo Plaza Advisory Committee’s work over eight months. Through the partnership announced Friday, April 10, the City and State are reissuing a new version of December’s RFQ amended to include the State-owned Alamo grounds. The plan will provide an opportunity to enhance this world-class site while respecting San Antonio’s rich cultural history.
Submittals will be received until 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2015. For solicitation details and documents, please visit: http://www.sanantonio.gov/purchasing/biddingcontract/opportunities.aspx
