AUSTIN — On Friday, August 24th, 2018, the Costal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi will conduct two Unaccompanied Veteran burials for Airman Third Class William L. McKee Jr. and Specialist 5 Toby Cole Pigford. The services for Airman McKee and Sgt. Pigford will be held at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, respectively.  

Airman Third Class McKee Jr. served in the Air Force from June 17, 1960 to January 4, 1961.  Specialist Pigford served in the Army from June 12, 1967 to February 4, 1970.  Unity Chapel Funeral Home and Trevino Funeral Home have coordinated with United States Air Force and United States Army Honor Guards to ensure that the veterans will receive military honors.

The Veterans Land Board works with the local community and fellow veterans support groups to ensure that NO Veteran is ever left behind after they pass away. 

The Coastal bend community is encouraged to attend.
