CORPUS CHRISTI — Tuesday, September 11th, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi will conduct an Unaccompanied Veteran burial for Private John Anthony Piercey, a United States Army Veteran.

Private Piercey served in the Army from April 23^rd, 1976, to March 14^th, 1977.

Coastal Bend Cemetery staff has coordinated with the cemetery's Honor Guard to ensure that Private Piercey will receive full military honors. If no next-of-kin presents themselves at the ceremony, the On-Site Representative of the Veterans Land Board will accept the United States flag on Private Piercey's behalf.

The Veterans Land Board works with the local community and fellow veterans support groups to ensure that NO Veteran is ever left behind after they pass away.

The Coastal Bend community is encouraged to attend.
