PRESS RELEASE — Dec 23, 2019

HOUSTON — The brand new Richard A. Anderson Texas State Veterans Home recently created their first Texas Veterans Angel Tree to allow family, friends and members of the community to have the opportunity to "Adopt-A-Veteran" for Christmas.

The Angel Tree program at Richard A. Anderson Texas State Veterans Home gives community members the opportunity to help provide Christmas for a United States Veteran. Participants are invited to stop by the Richard A. Anderson Texas State Veterans Home to pick a Veterans name off of the tree, and send a card, gift, care package, or even visit with the Veteran to help ensure they have a Merry Christmas.

Christmas is the perfect time of year for us to pause and thank the men and women in our community who have selflessly served our country. Veterans in our Texas State Veterans Homes would love to hear from you this holiday season.

Please help us provide for a Veterans Christmas today.

The VLB Texas State Veterans Homes provide affordable, long-term care for Texas Veterans, their spouses and Gold Star parents. Conveniently located across Texas, each first-class facility is designed to enhance quality of life with a clean, caring and dignified setting appropriate to those men and women who have served our country with honor.
