TEMPLE — On Tuesday, October 29, Texas Veterans Land Board ChairmanGeorge P. Bush will recognize Veterans including Veterans from William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home at the Temple Chamber of Commerce Military Appreciation Banquet. The banquet will be held at the Frank W. Mayborn Convention Center. 

Each year Veterans from William R. Courtney Texas State Veterans Home attend the Temple Chamber of Commerce Military Appreciation Banquet. The annual banquet is a celebration of the past, present and future of the Armed Forces in Central Texas. The local VA hospital provides vans to escort our Veterans to the convention center with a police escort. Veterans will board the VA buses from 9:00 a.m. to 10:10 a.m at the Texas State Veterans Home with a send-off from FT. Hood troops. The buses will depart at 10:15 a.m. and escort the Veterans to the Convention Center where Texas Veterans Land Board Chairman, George P. Bush will be waiting to greet the heroic men and women who selflessly served our country. The event will kick-off with lunch served at 11:15 a.m. followed by a formal ceremony at noon. Texas Veterans Land Board Chairman, George P. Bush will deliver the keynote address during the ceremony.
