PRESS RELEASE — May 30, 2024

AUSTIN — Today, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D. is asking Texans to consider ordering a 2024 Adopt-A-Beach specialty license plate to benefit the Adopt-A-Beach program’s all-volunteer effort to keep trash off Texas beaches.

"As Land Commissioner and a Texan who lived on the Texas coast for over a decade, keeping our beaches clean and thriving is essential to the habitats that live there," said Commissioner Buckingham. "The GLO's Adopt-A-Beach (AAB) program plays an important part in ensuring we exceed those standards. By showing your support with a unique AAB license plate, you'll help reduce litter on Texas beaches while providing coastal education to Texas children."
