Today, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham, M.D. announced the Texas General Land Office (GLO) approved $125,504,800 in regional mitigation funds for 16 federally eligible infrastructure projects to improve streets as well as water and drainage facilities in the cities of Aransas Pass, Beeville, El Campo, Friendswood, Gregory, Hemphill, Ivanhoe, Mathis, Refugio, and Woodville and the counties of Austin, Chambers, Jasper, Sabine and Wharton in addition to the Deep East Texas Council of Government (DETCOG). Today the Texas General Land Office (GLO) posted Amendment 1 to the 2018 South Texas Floods State Action Plan for $72,913,000 in Community Development Block Grants for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) for a federally required 30-day public comment period.Amendment 1 includes the newly created appendix H, providing meaningful analysis on the four approved Affordable Rental Program projects.
