Bolivar Flats and Big Reef Sand Survey

Project Description

This project conducted hydrographic and seismic survey work in the vicinity of Bolivar Roads in order to quantify quantities of beach nourishment sand. The two areas of study were the Big Reef area (adjacent to the northeast end of Galveston Island) and Bolivar Flats which is an accreting area on the north side of the north jetty.
