Project Description
The Coastal Prairie Conservancy in partnership with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department will purchase and conserve approximately 828 acres of coastal prairie grasslands, wetlands, and bottomland woodland habitat. This tract will expand the nearly 15,000-acre Justin Hurst Wildlife Management Area (WMA), and link to a neighboring 2,500-acre Justin Hurst West Addition Phase I conservation tract, for a total of over 18,000 acres of contiguous protected land.
