UNACCOMPANIED VETERAN BURIAL TO BE HELD AT THE CENTRAL TEXAS STATE VETERANS CEMETERY

Bush announced that on Wednesday, August 28th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.  SHARP, the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen will conduct an Unaccompanied Veteran burial for ADJAR David Lee Boone. Born on March 14, 1954, Mr. Boone served in the United States Navy from September 22, 1972 to November 21, 1973. Mr. Boone served as an Aviation Machinist's Mate (Jet Engine Mechanic). He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

Mr. Boone is not expected to have anyone attend his burial. Please help us spread the word and ensure that our United States Navy Veteran is not buried alone. Members of the Killeen community are encouraged to attend. 

ADJAR Boone will receive full military honors. If no next-of-kin is present at the burial, the On-Site Representative of the Veterans Land Board will accept the United States flag on Boone's behalf.

The Texas Veterans Land Board works with the local community and fellow Veterans service organizations to ensure that NO Veteran is EVER left behind.
