Impacts of Major Storms on Coastal Erosion in the Texas Gulf Coast

Summary

The University of Houston will measure the impacts of major storms on coastal erosion in the Texas Gulf Coast using Lidar, UAV-based-photogrammetry, and other remote sensing data. The project results will help managers design robust maintained/restored dunes for erosion mitigation by studying the post-storm responses of dunes in storm-impacted areas and the internal structure of natural dunes.
