On Friday, March 31st at 11:00 a.m. sharp, the Texas State Veterans Cemetery At Abilene will conduct an Unaccompanied Veteran Burial for U.S. Army Private Earnest McCloud. Born on September 20, 1945, Private McCloud served from July 1967 to May 1969. Private McCloud received the Purple Heart Medal with three Oak Clusters, the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.  Private McCloud is not expected to have any next-of-kin attend his burial. Commissioner Buckingham Announces Veterans Land Board’s Increase of Home Loan Amount to $726,200

On Friday, October 21st, 2022, the Fort Worth community is invited to join Texas Land Commissioner and Chairman of the Veterans Land Board George P. Bush for the soft opening of the new Tuskegee Airmen Texas State Veterans Home. The opening ceremony will be held at 2200 Joe B. Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home Awarded $535,000 VA Grant

Today, Texas Veteran Land Board (VLB) Chairman George P. Bush announced that the Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) has awarded the VLB a grant totaling $535,135 for the Alfredo Gonzalez Texas State Veterans Home (TSVH) in McAllen.
