Exceptional Long-Term Care for Exceptional Texans

The GLO’s Veterans Land Board (VLB) proudly offers long-term care for qualified Veterans, their spouses, or Gold Star parents.

Our State Veterans Homes are Texas-owned and regulated by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

The VLB has an on-site representative in each home to ensure our distinguished long-term residents get the best possible care.

Applicants must have a physician's note stating the need for skilled nursing care and have resided in the state for at least a day. Veterans must have served at least 90 days, have a DD214, and be honorably discharged.
