Report Fraud, Waste, or Abuse

Reporting Suspected Fraud, Waste, and Abuse in State Government

The Texas General Land Office (GLO) is dedicated to fostering a culture of integrity and accountability. To uphold this commitment, the GLO has implemented a Fraud, Waste, and Abuse Prevention Program designed to guide employees in preventing, detecting, and addressing fraud, waste, and abuse within the agency. This program adheres to the requirements of Executive Order RP-36 issued on July 12, 2004.

If you suspect fraud, waste, or abuse involving state resources, you can report it through the following channels:

  • State Auditor's Office Hotline: Call (800) TX-AUDIT (892-8348) to speak confidentially about your concerns.
  • Submit your report online by visiting their website: State Auditor's Office Website
  • Contact the GLO anonymously by calling 1-888-GLO-FWOA (1-888-456-3962) or by emailing reportfraud@glo.texas.gov .

The State Auditor’s Office is responsible for investigating allegations of illegal activities and improprieties involving any entity receiving state funds. Their online fraud reporting form is a convenient tool for reporting such concerns.

By reporting suspected fraud, waste, or abuse, you play a vital role in safeguarding state resources and ensuring accountability within Texas government. Your efforts contribute to the integrity of our operations and the trust placed in our agency.
