Bush: GLO Online Winter Lease Sale shows continued strong returns for PSF

Bush today announced that the Texas General Land Office's (GLO) fourth online sale of oil and gas leases earned public education more than $81.8* million this morning. As part of Commissioner Bush's initiative to use new innovations in technology to improve efficiency and productivity, the GLO partnered with EnergyNet, an industry leader for easy-to-use oil and gas auction and sealed bid transaction services, to conduct lease sales online. The January 2017 auction featured 13,716 acres averaging $5,968.76 per acre. Read More

AUSTIN - Commissioner George P. Bush is reminding interested bidders that the next Texas General Land Office (GLO) Winter Oil & Gas Lease Sale is January 17, 2017. During the lease sale participants bid for the right to explore for oil and gas on Permanent School Fund property owned by the state. The company offering the highest up-front payment (commonly called a bonus) is awarded the lease. Vessel Turn-In Program to make waves in Brazoria County

AUSTIN - The Texas General Land Office (GLO) are partnering with Brazoria County officials, the Brazoria County Fire Fighters Association (BCFFA) and Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) to offer local coastal Texans the opportunity to remove inoperable and derelict vessels through the Vessel Turn-In Program (VTIP) free of charge. Designed to provide owners with a voluntary method of disposal, interested boat owners are encouraged to participate if the vessel is less than 26 feet long, with longer boats being accepted on a case by case basis. Commissioner George P. Bush reports the Veterans Land Board achieves highest loan production level in more than a decade

Texas General Land Office Commissioner and Chairman of the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) George P. Bush is pleased to announce that during Fiscal Year 2016 the VLB loan program achieved its highest level of production in more than a decade.
