Bonham Veterans Home residents to participate in healing collaboration with Ranch Hand Rescue

AUSTIN - Today Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush announced that the General Land Office's Veterans Land Board (VLB) is collaborating with Ranch Hand Rescue (RHR) Counseling Center and Animal Sanctuary to offer animal therapy for residents of the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home with Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS). The collaboration will offer groups of five veterans with an opportunity to travel from the Clyde W. Land Commissioner George P. Bush announces raises to veteran land and home loan limits

AUSTIN -Today Land Commissioner George P. Bush announced that Texas veterans are now eligible for low-interest land loans up to $150,000. Commissioner Bush increased the land loan limit from $100,000 to $125,000 in his first act as chairman of the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) in 2015 and he's raised it again two years later. Additionally, the VLB Veterans Housing Assistance Program (VHAP) loan guarantee was increased from $417,000 to $424,100, the current maximum VA conforming loan amount. "In Texas, honoring veterans is in our DNA," Commissioner Bush said. Commissioner George P. Bush reports the Veterans Land Board achieves highest loan production level in more than a decade

Texas General Land Office Commissioner and Chairman of the Texas Veterans Land Board (VLB) George P. Bush is pleased to announce that during Fiscal Year 2016 the VLB loan program achieved its highest level of production in more than a decade.
