This volume contains public bulletins announcing state lands available for purchase or lease. Included are typed memos, printed broadsides, and notices in local newspapers. Items generally include a list of lands available, details of the laws or acts enabling the sale, and an explanation of bidding procedures. Some items include maps of tracts, and most have hand-written notations.
Items were issued by the Texas General Land Office, School Land Board, Board of Mineral Development, Board of Lease of Eleemosynary and State Memorial Park Lands, and Board of Lease of Texas Prison Lands. Items are not in chronological order. Items are pasted onto old register sheets.
Dates given are date of the announcement, for bidding to open at a later date. Includes "Submerged Oil and Gas Areas" (1 folder, 1919-1923 not inclusive), and "Oil and Gas Leases on University Lands" (1 folder, January 1929). Some bulletins include maps of tracts, and some Oil and Gas Leases on University Land bulletins are "marked lists" with items crossed out and notations.
