Summary
The development and implementation of Water Quality Management Plans (WQMPs) in the Arroyo Colorado watershed provides agricultural producers an opportunity to comply with state water quality laws through a voluntary, incentive-based approach. Technical and financial assistance enable producers to demonstrate various best management practices that address erosion and sediment control, nutrient management and irrigation water management. Best management practices include irrigation landleveling, irrigation pipeline, nutrient management and subsurface drain systems.
