The Efficacy of Living Shorelines for Restoring Shoreline Habitat and Stability

Summary

Lee College will collect data at living shoreline sites throughout Galveston Bay to assess resiliency Post-Harvey and the functional aspects of these small-scale restoration projects. Data will include biologic community, water, sediment quality, and shoreline erosion trends. This data will then be compared to unrestored marsh reference sites and traditionally armored sites.
