Summary
Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi will conduct a study to advance the understanding of groundwater inflows and nutrient transport to bay systems in South Texas for improved environmental flow recommendations and nutrient criteria. Groundwater discharge will be explicitly incorporated into the freshwater inflow needs and nutrient budgets. Specifically, this project builds upon current efforts to estimate freshwater and nutrient contributions from groundwater to the Nueces, Laguna Madre and Aransas Estuaries.Basics
