Texas A&M University-Kingsville  is leading a partnered effort to establish an estuary program in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. TAMU-Kingsville will create a Lower Laguna Madre Estuary Program Partnership and deliver a Strategic Plan that includes techniques, tools, and critical information to assist coastal and Lower Laguna Madre watershed communities in understanding vulnerabilities related to water quality, ecosystem health, and resilience.
