Nautical Landings Marina Sewage Pump-Out Improvements

Summary

Water and habitat are degraded in and around marinas from boat sewage and introduction of dockside wastes from non-point sources.  It has been demonstrated that the combination of poor circulation and discharge from boaters and boat maintenance operations create serious localized water quality problems.  The installation of sewage pump-out equipment such as a peristaltic pump with 2 horsepower TEFC motor, fiberglass pump, and 30-foot suction hose will allow area boaters to properly discharge human waste from their boats' holding tanks.  This will eliminate a source of coastal water pollution and will help improve the water quality of area coastal waters.
