A Near Real-Time Currents Measurement System for the Galveston Coast

Summary

This project is a "Coastal Natural Hazards Response" effort, however, a very significant and integral part will be "Public Education and Outreach."  This includes public presentations to citizens of Galveston and maintenance of a web site at Texas A&M University at Galveston with water currents and meteorological information collected as part of this project, for use by the public.  A CD was produced at the completion of the project with the detailed database for review and community planning purposes.
