Summary
Audubon Texas focused on public education and outreach to underserved communities by providing educational resources to youth and teachers along the coast, supplemented with hands-on training and facilitation of experiences in the natural world. Outreach to non-English speaking populations, particularly those in Vietnamese (Hmong) and Hispanic communities, in order to create an understanding of the fragile coastal ecosystem. The addition of thirty-five (35) new volunteers to our Audubon Ambassadors program; and a new series of public presentations that focus on the sensitivity and needs of critical habitat.
