Shell Bank: coastal resiliency through shell recycling, community engagement and habitat restoration

Summary

Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi (TAMU-CC) will continue their Oyster Shell Recycling Program.  In addition, they will host three community-based events targeting Hurricane Harvey affected areas in Matagorda and Aransas counties, will create a “habitat conservation corner” for the “Shuck Truck” with hands-on activities and will assess restored reefs along the mid-coast that were restored using shells from CMP and monitored pre-Harvey.
