On February 9, 2023, HUD published in the Federal Register a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) entitled “Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing”. The public comment period ended on April 24, 2023. HUD will take the upcoming months to review public comments before making revisions and finalizing the rule. The public can check this webpage or regulations.gov for the final version.

The AFFH Interim Final Rule remains in effect during the proposed rulemaking.
