Today, Land Commissioner George P. The General Land Office was among the recipients of three awards for the 2017 Texas Coastal Resiliency Master Plan in the categories of best magazine- government, public relations, and annual report-government.

The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media.

"The Texas General Land Office 2017 Coastal Resiliency Master Plan prioritized restoration and protection projects that can be implemented in the short-term to protect our coastline," said Commissioner George P. Bush. "Our coastal resiliency team worked diligently to ensure that Texas is prepared for the next large-scale storm to hit our great state. These Communicator Awards show the agency's dedication to the people of Texas, in addition to recognizing the remarkable team the GLO has assembled to ensure our coastline is protected and ready should disaster occur."
