On Friday, June 2nd at 2:00 p.m., the   Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery will conduct a World War II KIA/MIA Burial for U.S. Army Veteran Private (PVT) Myron Elton Williams. PVT Williams remains were recently discovered in Hurtgen, Germany where he was killed in action and remained for over 77 years.

Born May 4, 1915, PVT Williams served our nation courageously in the Company L, 3rd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division, in the European Theater during World War II for just over two years. PVT Williams received the World War II Victory Medal and the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal. He also received several awards posthumously, including the Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart Medal, and the Army Good Conduct Medal.

Please help us spread the word about the return of this World War II hero and ensure PVT Williams is buried with the respect and dignity he deserves. Members of the Central Texas Community are encouraged to attend.

PVT Williams will receive military honors, and his niece will accept the United States flag on his behalf.

The Texas Veterans Land Board works with the local communities and fellow Veterans service organizations to ensure that NO Veteran is EVER left behind.
