Implementation of Coastal Nonpoint Source Management

Summary

The General Land Office (GLO) will provide technical assistance related to the control of nonpoint source (NPS) pollution from off-system roadways, urban development, and watershed planning in accordance with Section 6217 of the Coastal Zone Management Act. The actions under this strategy will implement the off-system roadway and urban development best management practices (BMPs) needed to protect water quality and enhance natural ecosystem services. The GLO will coordinate with regional water quality planning staff, local real estate developers, and other land development professionals to implement measures to reduce runoff volumes and pollutant loadings to protect and restore water quality conditions.
