Beach and Bay Access Guide Data - Phase 3

Summary

This project updated the Texas Public Access Inventory and enhance the Texas General Land Office’s (GLO) Texas Beach and Bay Access Guide (BBAG). The project meets the needs of  the Coastal Zone Management Act Section 309, Project Enhancement Strategy for Public Access. In the §309 Enhancement Strategy, GLO states the need for "conducting a comprehensive inventory of coastal public access in Texas to support access planning." The only such effort in Texas so far has been by GLO and was conducted in 1989-1999, and updated in 2003.  This project will update this inventory.
