University Marina Beach Park - Monitoring and Engineering Specifications

Summary

This Project developed final engineering specifications and plans to construct the public access and other facilities for University Marina Beach Park and to conduct beach profile surveys to monitor the beach. Seasonal beach profile surveys and sediment grain size analysis were conducted at least twice a year for two years. These surveys provided data that allowed officials to effectively manage and maintain the restored beach. In addition, this information is available to the public via a descriptive web site that provides public outreach restoration, coastal processes and environmental issues
