Litter Enforcement Officer

Summary

The officers will patrol county beaches and issue citations to those who litter on the beaches and do not follow beach regulations. The citation will require the violator to pay a fine, which will support the "Captain Clean Crab" Campaign and bring awareness to beach guests to think twice about littering or disrespecting county beaches. Not only would there be a fine, but violators will be educated on the importance of preserving and enhancing the coastlines. By implementing this system the county is hoping the word of mouth will spread and educate beach guests as to the necessities of keeping the beaches beautiful and safe.  Signs are also going to be posted forewarning the public that there are Code Enforcement Officers on duty and there is a price to pay if you get caught littering or breaking the rules.
