Tres Palacios Bay Dissolved Oxygen TMDL Project

Summary

This project will address the secondary and cumulative impacts (i.e., point and nonpoint sources of pollution) to the bay, both of which are in support of the goals of the §309 Enhancement Grant. The objectives of this project are: 1) identify the causes of low dissolved oxygen values in the Tres Palacios harbor area, 2) identify possible solutions to the causes of the low dissolved oxygen, and 3) conduct some education and outreach activities to inform the users of the harbor of the water quality problems and solutions.
