Coastal Geodatabase Expansion

Summary

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) will examine coastal datasets and, based on priority level and ease of import, will incorporate additional datasets into the Coastal Geodatabase infrastructure. Metadata and parameter mapping will be conducted to enable searches across both new and old datasets. The TWDB will migrate the system over to using WaterML 2.0 OGC standard web services for data interoperability and enable interoperability with other major coastal data systems like NOAA’s Integrated Ocean Observing System. The final product will be a consist of a water information system infrastructure that allows search and retrieval data from the multiple datasets through web services, a web-accessible front end user interface and cross platform python desktop tools.
