Developing a Refined Engagement Strategy for Coastal Nonpoint Source Pollution

Summary

This project will continue to build on previous efforts of the Clean Coast Texas program with broad outreach and direct engagement to support implementation of the Guidance for Sustainable Stormwater Drainage on the Texas Coast (Sustainable Stormwater Manual) by coastal communities and general awareness of the Clean Coast Texas program. This project includes an engagement campaign to highlight the several online resources the Clean Coast Texas program has developed to their intended audiences. Texas State University will continue to engage with coastal jurisdictions to promote the implementation of the Sustainable Stormwater Manual and other stormwater pollution management tools into their practice. To do this, TXSTATE will begin investigating the feasibility of a potential Sustainable Stormwater Design Certification Program by reviewing existing programs and certifications and working with an engineer to assist in the development of program outline.
