Integration of High Frequency Radar and Autonaut Data to the General Land Office Texas Automated Buoy System "TABS"

Summary

This project will integrate data collected from the Autonaut with data from the existing buoy netowrk at TABS sites B, F, V and N with data from the newly installed high frequency radars at Rollover Pass and West Galveston Park.  All collected data will be comprehensively integrated to produce objective maps of surface currents, independent ground truthing of the high frequency radar with the buoy and autonomous surface vehicles (ASV).  This is the first time that surface buoy, coastal radar and ASV observations will be accomplished in the US.
