Newcomb Marsh Wetland Protection & Shoreline Stabilization Project – Phase 1

Summary

This project is Phase 1 of a project to protect approximately 2.5 miles of shoreline and 280 acres of estuarine marsh habitat at Newcomb Point and Newcomb Bend, collectively referred to as Newcomb Marsh, in Copano Bay, at the community of Lamar in Aransas County.  This project would result in a feasibility study, alternatives analysis, preparation of 30% engineering plans, and complete permitting for construction of a living shoreline or structure which would protect the shoreline and marsh.construction of a living shoreline or structure which would protect the shoreline and marsh.
