Summary
The project determined the status and trends of wetlands on South Padre Island and Brazos Island including South Bay. Work included interpreting and mapping wetlands and aquatic habitats on historical and recent aerial photographs, using and revising existing historical data where acceptable. This included processing habitat delineations and entering into GIS, field checking mapped wetlands, conducting detailed quality control analysis of all (historical and current) GIS data bases and analyzing wetland trends to determine probable causes.
