Surfside Revetment Emergency Repair

Summary

To address the erosion-induced damage to the western-most segment (@950 linear feet) of the rock revetment structure protecting the seaward edge of Beach Drive from erosion, this repair project will include the installation of additional stone along the revetment and beach nourishment immediately seaward of the revetment along the repaired section as part of the BMMP maintenance nourishment work mentioned above. This repair work will begin around October 2014 and will further enhance the protection provided by the revetment to public infrastructure and private property. Work should be completed by February 2015.
