Summary
Project will entail preliminary engineering, alternatives analysis, and 70% construction design for a minimum of 900 linear feet in shoreline protection. The final engineering and design will include a structure designed to protect the north side of Triangle Tree Island from wind and wave erosion and will also trap and secure sediment from future dredge placement events. It is anticipated that the structure will be a minimum of 900 feet in length and positioned to protect the existing rookery habitat. This project will also include submitting an application for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineering Permit for the construction of the protection structure.
