Texas Back In Business Overview
Funded by Congress, under the Department of Housing and Urban Development and authorized by the Texas General Land Office, Texas Back in Business is the $100 million Hurricane Harvey Relief Program for Texas small businesses. Texas Back in Business is the jobs and economic revitalization program created to help small businesses in Texas that suffered damage from Hurricane Harvey. Texas small business owners can apply for grants from $50,000 up to $250,000.
Texas Back in Business is a job creation and/or retention program that is using CDBG-DR funds to help applicants in Hurricane Harvey eligible counties. Application intake and reviews for Texas Back in Business (TBIB) are completed. To date, Texas Back in Business has awarded $89,125,000 to 574 businesses to support 1,843 jobs.

Two-stage appeals process:
Level I Appeal:
The applicant businesses authorized representative or point of contact must first appeal the decision they are contesting to the Program. There are three (3) methods for submitting a Level I appeal to TBIB:

- Call the TBIB at 844-773-5663 for an appeal form.
