Summary
The CEPRA statute requires the Land Commissioner to evaluate the natural resource and economic benefits of CEPRA projects and report these measured benefits to the Texas Legislature for each biennium that the Legislature provides CEPRA funding. This study quantifies the economic benefits associated with CEPRA selected Cycle 7 and Cycle 8 construction projects, including calculation of storm damage reduction benefits. It also provided an evaluation of natural resource improvements associated with habitat restoration and protection projects using established methodologies. An executive summary of the findings can be reviewed in the Economic and Natural Resources Benefits section in this report.
