Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush spoke to high school students at Liberty Christian School about government, civics and public service. He also taught an interactive Texas history lesson to 4th grade students and engaged with students, leaders and teachers at Liberty Christian School in Argyle, Texas.
As one of the largest financiers of public schools in Texas, the Texas General Land Office (GLO) realizes that the quality of our education systems is paramount to our state’s success.
“A well-rounded education for students of all ages is essential for the success of our next generation of leaders,” said
Commissioner George P. Bush. “From teaching Texas history to discussing the importance of public service, there are many aspects of our great state worth discussing with our students. Liberty Christian School has done an excellent job preparing these young minds for their future ahead.”
Commissioner Bush began the morning by engaging with 4th grade students in an mini Top Texan tournament. The enthusiastic 4th grade students were eager to learn more about the historical prominent leaders who helped shape our great state. Following the tournament, Commissioner Bush spoke to a group of high school students on government, civics and public service, and then toured the school’s campus.
