On November 11, 2019 at 11:00 am, the Clyde W. Cosper Texas State Veterans Home will host a Veterans Day Ceremony and Luncheon.
The ceremony will feature Captain Travis Kelly, a decorated Army service member, as a guest speaker. The ceremony will include the posting of the colors by Texoma Composite Squadron-262 Civil Air Patrol, a pledge of allegiance, the singing of the national anthem, and special music performances. A BBQ lunch will be served following the ceremony.

Background: CPT Kelley enlisted in the Army on April 24, 1996 during his senior year of high school. He has been stationed in Texas, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Oklahoma. He has also deployed to combat in countries such as Jordan, Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan during his 23-year career. Travis Kelley has served as a combat medic, heavy weapons infantry platoon leader, focused targeting force platoon leader, assistant operations officer, commanders initiative group analyst, battle captain, deputy chief operations officer, calvary troop commander and recruiting commander.
