Today, Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush spent the day teaching Texas history at local elementary schools in Round Rock and Pflugerville as part of his 'Year of Education' Initiative. Today, Texas Land Commissioner George P. Bush visited Dishman Elementary School in Beaumont, Texas as part of his 'Year of Education' Initiative. UNACCOMPANIED VETERAN BURIAL TO BE HELD AT THE COASTAL BEND TEXAS STATE VETERANS CEMETERY

Today, Texas Veterans Land Board Chairman George P. Bush announced that on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. SHARP, the Coastal Bend Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi will conduct an Unaccompanied Veteran burial for SR Richard Scott. Born on September 19, 1952, Mr. Scott served in the United States Navy from February 24, 1970 to October 16, 1972. Seaman Recruit (SR) Richard Scott received a National Defense Service Medal during his time in the United States Navy and specialized in fire fighting.Mr. Scott is not expected to have anyone attend his burial. On Saturday, October 12, the Ussery Roan Texas State Veterans Home will host an Oktoberfest with a special performance from guest, Dr. Mike Middleton. Dr. Mike Middleton is a recognized and accomplished accordionist. His main musical interest is Midi Enhanced Accordion music from all genres, including Texas Folk music. Born on November 18, 1955, Mr. Cosio joined the United States Navy on July 18, 1995, and honorably discharged on May 18, 1978. Mr. Cosio is not expected to have anyone attend his burial.
